PRE-CARE

1. Eyebrows     2. Lips     3. Eyeliner

Please consider before booking that you will have to follow the pre-care instructions thoroughly in order to get desired results. Please, also check out the after-care process link before booking: https://www.beautifulyoubykate.com/after-care.

  1. Eyebrows:

  • DO NOT BOOK during your menstrual cycle days. You will be more sensitive to pain. Please book 2 days before or 2 days after your cycle.

  • NO alcohol 7 days prior to appointment.

  • DO NOT drink caffeine 24 hours prior to appointment. Caffeine will reduce the effect of anesthesia, making you more sensitive during treatment. Additionally, not having caffeine in your system will make you feel much more relaxed and/or also the muscles in your face will be relaxed and this is important for a proper pre-drawing right before treatment.

  • DO NOT take pain killer or blood thinner 24 prior to appointment. The only product for aches and pain that will not make you bleed is Tylenol. Refrain from Vitamin E and fish oil capsules for 3 days prior to your appointment. ALL of these make you bleed excessively. Excessive bleeding during the procedure will negatively affect the longevity of your semi-permanent makeup application. In some cases, the application will need to be prematurely stopped.

  • No waxing or tinting 3 days before the procedure.

  • Eyelash or eyelash curling should be done no sooner than 48 hours before, or two weeks after the procedure.

  • Do not wear contact lenses during the procedure.

  • Do not tan or have sunburned face.

   2. Lips:

  • DO NOT BOOK during your menstrual cycle days. You will be more sensitive to pain. Please book 2 days before or 2 days after your cycle.

  • NO alcohol 7 days prior to appointment.

  • Moisturize your lips 2 weeks or at least 1 week before your session by applying lip moisturizer or Vaseline 3 or more times a day. This way your lips will be moisturized the day of your session and it will be much easier to implant the pigment. Having your lips moisturized is key to having great results!

  • Drink lots of water for 1-2 weeks before your lip treatment session.

  • If you tend to have cold sores, this cannot be active on the lip area. In case it is not active but it is in your system, you must take an antiviral medicine for cold sores recommended by your doctor 3 days before and 3 days after treatment. This will prevent it from being activated and appearing right after the session.

  • Fillers must be done 3 months before treatment or 5 weeks after treatment.

  • AVOID energy drinks. DO NOT DRINK COFFEE 24-hours before treatment. Caffeine will reduce the effect of anesthesia, making you more sensitive during treatment. Additionally, not having caffeine in your system will make you feel much more relaxed and/or also the muscles in your face will be relaxed and this is important for a proper pre-drawing right before treatment.

  • Do not tan or have sunburned face.

    3. Eyeliner:

  • DO NOT BOOK during your menstrual cycle days. You will be more sensitive to pain. Please book 2 days before or 2 days after your cycle.

  • NO alcohol 7 days prior to appointment.

  • Eyelash or eyelash curling cannot be done before treatment; eyelashes can be done two weeks after the procedure. Consider to wait until touch-up is also done. Touch-up may be needed 4 weeks after 1st session.

  • Do not wear contact lenses during the procedure.

  • DO NOT book if your eyes are puffy or swollen.

  • If you take medicine, please contact us BEFORE booking to make sure you are a good candidate and medicine is not a contraindication for treatment.

  • DO NOT use eyelash growth serums (Latisse, Lash Boost, etc.) for a minimum of 4 weeks before getting your eyeliner treatment. These serums make the eyelid very sensitive and prone to bruising. If the skin is bruised too much, the pigment will not enter the skin due to swelling.

  • Upper Lid Eyeliner semi-permanent makeup is best suited for large, open eyes with tight skin, and no wrinkles in the eye area. The Artist will not be able to perform a wing over wrinkles or folds because the creases will make the wing bend and  look crooked. Winged eyeliners are not suitable on hooded eyes.

  • Upper Lid Eyeliner semi-permanent makeup is not suited for mature skin.
