Lips And Eyeliner FAQ

What is Lip Color?

Lip color is a semi-permanent treatment that will enhance the beauty of your natural lip color with a little more intense permanent color. It will give your lips shape, definition and the illusion of fullness. This DO NOT apply for those with cold or dark lips. For those lips, dark lips neutralization must be performed first.

Do you do Lip Liner and/or a white liner on top of the eyeliner?

I do not do Lip liner or a white liner on top of the eyeliner. Those are considered old school treatment. I will work on shading the whole lips in case of the lips.

Do you do corrections or touch-ups?

I do not do corrections or touch-ups to a previous work that have not been done by me for lips and eyes treatments.

If I have a medical condition, can I have my lips or eyes done?

It is very important to confirm that you are a good candidate for the treatment before booking. Please go to

Pre-Consultation/Lips and Eyes Contraindications to make sure that you qualify for the treatment. For example: NO pregnancy, NO nursing and have no medical conditions that are well explained on the page. The artist can cancel the session if the client presents a medical condition mentioned on the website before booking and 50% of the treatment service will be charged.

How many sessions do I need for the treatment?

Lip Color or Eyeliner treatments are normally a two session treatment. Two sessions are included in the payment.

IMPORTANT: If you would like to get a lipstick result more than two sessions may need to be performed. For those with cold or dark lips must do dark lip neutralization first.

Where is Beautiful You By Kate located at?

My studio is located at 7590 Colbert Dr. Reno, NV, 89521. USA. It is inside A Cut Above salon where I own a private room. By appointments only.

Can I pick my favorite color?

Lip treatment: If client has a pinkish natural color, any color can be performed. For those with dark lip color, the artist will work to get the desired color based on warm colors after the dark lip neutralization is performed.

Eyeliner treatment: Client can pick any color. Please consider that color result may vary depending on the skin color.

What is Dark Lips Neutralization?

Dark Lips Neutralization is a specialized treatment for those with cold or dark lips. This treatment correct the darkness on the lips which is neutralized by changing to a natural pink color. Multiple sessions may be needed.

What is Eyeliner?

It is a semi-permanent makeup line where an outward curve can be drawn to emphasize the outer corner of the eye. It can correct almost all negative eye shapes.

What is Lash-Enhancing Liner?

Lash-Enhancing Liner is for those who want a very natural look. This treatment will make the lashes appear dense. The pigmented liner between the lashes will create a natural result without the appearance of makeup.

What to expect after Lip and/or Eyeliner Procedure?

Swelling, and/or redness for one or two days following the procedure. Cooling gel compresses are ideal for this as they are reusable and easy to disinfect.

For Lip Treatment:

  • After the initial procedure, the first 2 days, the color result appeared darker and more intense. The feeling of tension is hardly noticeable. The color will change during the following 45-60 days after pigmentation and become more natural and gentler. After this time, will see the result. After treatment, only 40% of color will be retained. It is required multiple sessions to achieve the desired color.

  • In case a severe infection occurs, contact your physician/doctor immediately.

  • After completely healing, the pigmentation should be protected daily with sun protection factor, especially when sunbathing or in the solarium. The color intensity of the pigmentation remains longer.

For Eyeliner Treatment:

  • The first 2 days, the color result appeared darker and more intense. The feeling of tension is hardly noticeable. The color will change during the following 45-60 days after pigmentation and become more natural and gentler. After this time, will see the result.

Does Lip and Eyeliner treatments hurt?

Most people explain that they feel only mild pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of an anesthetic cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance for pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected. IMPORTANT: Treatment is avoided during the menstrual cycle because of increased sensitivity to pain and extreme bleeding that may occur during the work.

How do I book an appointment?

Go to Treatments on my site, and you will select the treatment you would like to be performed. Then, you will see my calendar with the availability. After choosing date and time, you will review your booking. Next, you will have to fill out a form and pay $50 dlls or $65 dlls initial deposit to confirm your booking. The remaining is paid the day of the treatment.

How long does the treatment last?

Treatments are NOT tattoos and will not last forever. Both, lips and eyeliner treatments will last from 2 to 3 years. Oily skin type, sun exposure, taking medicine, etc, may cause the treatment to fade faster and you may probably need a touch-up a before the estimated time.
